Typography

Our typography visualises our voice. The typographic toolkit consists of a custom headline font and a Google font that is accessible across all platforms.

Headline typeface

Our custom typeface is called Daraz Sans. The typeface stands proud and confident and reflects the playful angles and corners of the box icon.

Clarity is key when writing our headlines, and it allows our typeface to look its best. For more guidence on headline writing please refer to our our Tone of Voice page.

Secondary typeface

Public Sans is a contemporary and flexible type family with a broad range of weights and character set. Public Sans is perfect for all the uses we need across product and communications.

We use three different weights from the Public Sans family – Regular, Medium and Bold. This gives us the flexibility to create a range of different typographic styles.

Type tester

We’ve included the type tester so you can play with our typefaces and explore all its styles, weights.

Type hierarchy

We use size and weight to define clear type hierarchies. A relative consistency across all our communications should be maintained in our headlines and body copy.

Type hierarchy

Our headlines should always be left aligned. We size headlines according to the X height of the logo. We use the a from our logo clears[ace as a size marker for our x - height.

Colour

The colour of typography should always be paired with its positive or negative counterpart in the background to ensure legibility. The following combinations can be used across our communications.
