Layouts

Our layout system ensures we present our content
with clarity and consistency.

Grids

A simple 6 column grid guides how our communications are structured. Our margins are equal to half of the width of our column.

Type in layout

Typography is to left-aligned to the left of the margin within a layout. This applies to portrait, square and landscape formats.

Shape and type in layout

We use our graphic shapes and type together in a bold way. Shapes can
be used as dynamic patterns that sit behind or next to typography.
Ensure that the crop and colour usage allows clear legibility of text.

Photography in layout

To create dynamic and unique layouts we pair photography with our graphic shapes. To allow variation and flexbilty we pair them in a couple of different ways.

Shape and clear cut imagery in layout

We use clear cut imagery with the graphic shapes in the background. To ensure our layouts feel bold and uncomplicated we allow adequate space around our type, type should never interact with the shapes or imagery.

Shape and full bleed photography

We mask our graphic shapes and layer them over full bleed photography. Masks create a divide between typography and photography and also allows our type to have space to breathe.
